Old Dominion University Natural History Collection - Fishes (ODU-Fishes)

The Old Dominion University Natural History Collection represents teaching materials from the Department of Biological Sciences. A majority of the collections represents specimens from the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast US region, however there is a substantial portion from outside this region. These collections are as old as the 1970s and with the addition of contemporary collections. The preparation depends on the taxonomic group. Fishes are preserved in isopropyl alcohol, whereas many other groups are dried specimens.
